Despite his initial plans to discuss his health issues in a comedy special, a video posted on X showed him discussing the events with a small group of restaurant patrons in Phoenix, Arizona. Foxx revealed that he had experienced a sudden severe headache on April 11, 2023, and then woke up 20 days later in Atlanta with no memory of what had happened. During the gathering in Phoenix, he shared that his sister and daughter had taken him to the doctor, who discovered something concerning in his head.
Despite initially planning to discuss the incident in a comedy special, he opted to briefly share his experience in a more informal setting.
