According to multiple sources, the late actor, aged 54, had over $1.5 million remaining in his personal account at the time of his passing in October 2023. His death occurred when he was found in the hot tub of his California home in Pacific Palisades. The toxicology report revealed that several contributing factors led to Perry’s death, including drowning in the hot tub, coronary artery disease, and the effects of a medication called buprenorphine, used in treating opioid addiction.
A joint effort by the Los Angeles police and the Drug Enforcement Administration was made to determine the origin of ketamine, a drug found in his possession. Throughout his career, Perry was candid about his struggles with addiction. In 2022, he published a memoir that chronicled his journey to recovery.
The book recounted the consequences of his abuse of OxyContin, including a hospitalization in 2019 due to a ruptured colon. Doctors informed his family that he had a mere two percent chance of survival. Following therapy and treatment, Perry dedicated himself to supporting others facing similar challenges.
