On 26 July 2024, Paris, France will host the Summer Olympics’ Opening Ceremony at Olympia. This year’s ceremony will be unique as it will take place along the Seine River, marking the first time in modern Olympics history that the event will unfold outside of a stadium. The participating country delegations, including Team USA, will sail down the River Seine instead of the traditional march, passing by Paris landmarks such as the Louvre and Notre Dame. The parade will include 10,500 athletes from 184 countries, covering nearly a 4-mile-long aquatic route.
After the parade, the ceremony will feature a symbolic release of doves, official speeches, and the Olympic Anthem to officially open the Games. This event will also include the Parade of Nations, where the countries will be featured in a specific order.
