Paris Olympics to Be the First Gender-Equal Competition

The Women’s Vault Final took place on day nine of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games at Ariake Gymnastics Centre in Tokyo, Japan. Mykayla Skinner of Team United States was one of the competitors. The IOC expressed its commitment to leveraging the power of sport to contribute to a more equal and inclusive society.

In the present day, sports competitions aim for equality, with both male and female athletes participating in their respective sports. One user noted that they could name more female athletes across a wide range of sports, compared to male athletes, except for the basketball team. The USA Lacrosse team also joined the conversation, expressing their agreement with the sentiment.
