The popstar, 34, posted a statement on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, July 30, expressing her sorrow for the families affected by a recent stabbing. She described feeling shocked and deeply saddened by the loss of life and innocence, as well as the trauma experienced by those present at the event, including the families and first responders.
The victims were children attending a dance class, with two girls aged 6 and 7 killed, and nine others injured. Tragically, a third girl, aged 9, died in the hospital on Tuesday morning.
The police stated that they believed the injured adults were trying to protect their children during the attack. The identity of the perpetrator has not been disclosed.
This is not the first time the popstar has addressed the loss of fans. She previously released statements mourning the passing of fans at her concerts and events related to her music.
