Since losing his Metropolitan Police bodyguards in 2020, Harry has been striving to reinstate police protection. However, his bid to restore taxpayer-funded security was unsuccessful, and he plans to appeal.
Unnamed sources mentioned that Meghan wishes Harry could let go of the lawsuits, be happy, and live in the moment, and that she supports him 100 percent. She hopes Harry can be free of the burden he is currently facing. According to well-placed insiders in Harry’s circle, he believes his father has the power to reinstate his security.
Despite his proposal to personally fund police protection being denied in court, Harry remains hopeful that as King, his father could intervene to secure this protection. Harry’s desperate pleas for his father to intervene have gone unanswered, even regarding the King’s health. Litigations have taken a toll, and the matter of security adds another layer to Harry’s persistence in keeping the battle going.
Despite this, a friend of Harry’s stated that if the security issue could be resolved one way or another, it would bring Harry immense happiness, as nothing would please him more than rekindling his bond with his father.
