Simone Biles Wins Gold, Suni Lee Takes Bronze in All-Around Final

In August 2024, Simone Biles and Sunisa Lee, members of Team United States, posed with the Olympic Rings during the Artistic Gymnastics Women’s All-Around Final medal ceremony at the Olympic Games in Paris, France. Simone, 27, won gold in the women’s individual all-around final, while Suni, 21, won bronze. She scored a 15.766, while Suni scored a 13.933 on vault.

On the uneven bars, Simone scored a 13.733, while Suni received a 14.866. On beam, Simone earned a 14.566, and Suni got an even 14.00 for her routine. On floor, Suni received a 13.66, while Simone concluded the event with a 15.066.

The American gymnastics team has medaled at the Olympic Games for the fourth consecutive time. Simone and Suni faced challenges before reaching the Paris Olympics. Simone encountered criticism for stepping away from the sport due to mental health reasons.

Suni, on the other hand, was diagnosed with two forms of kidney disease after her first Olympics in 2021. Both athletes overcame their personal battles to compete at the Paris Olympics. Simone’s struggles were shown in her Netflix docuseries, *Simone Biles: Rising*, which premiered before the Paris Olympics.

She revealed how the public criticism affected her mental state. Suni, in an interview on *TODAY*, expressed that competing again at the Olympics was a daunting task, given her health challenges. Both athletes displayed incredible strength and resilience during their journey to the Paris Olympics.
