Justin Timberlake recently appeared in court, pleading not guilty to a revised misdemeanor charge of driving drunk. His license in NY was suspended after he refused a breathalyzer test. Timberlake’s attorney, Irace, expressed displeasure with comments made by Burke to the press and urged him to be more mindful, claiming that the remarks tainted the case. The next court hearing is a lawyer conference scheduled for Friday, August 9, which Timberlake isn’t required to attend.
Irace threatened to implement a gag order or request for Timberlake to appear in person if comments continued from the attorney. Burke maintained that Timberlake “was not intoxicated” during the traffic stop and criticized the arresting officer in his comments. The incident took place in Sag Harbor, New York, where Timberlake was pulled over and subsequently failed field sobriety tests. He also declined to be tested for impairment, and his mugshot was released after the arrest.
The situation has led to legal actions and threats from Timberlake’s attorney in response to comments made in the media.
