Eugene and Dan Levy, known for creating memorable and humorous moments on screen, will make history as the first-ever father-and-son duo to emcee television’s top honors. In the past, they have left a mark at this awards show, winning major awards for their series *Schitt’s Creek* in 2020.
Eugene, 77, won two Emmys as Outstanding Comedy Actor and Outstanding Comedy Series executive producer. His son, 41, also triumphed, winning the Outstanding Comedy Series Emmy as executive producer and adding three more for his work as a writer, director, and Best Supporting Comedy Actor.
The Levys expressed excitement about the opportunity to host this year’s Emmys in an actual theater, contrasting with their previous win while in a quarantine tent. Eugene, in addition to his hosting duties, is nominated for his Apple TV+ series *The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy* in the Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special category.
The 76th annual Primetime Emmy nominations were announced in July, with *Shōgun* and *The Bear* leading the pack with 25 and 23 nominations, respectively.
