However, the 55-year-old pop singer filed for divorce from the 52-year-old Oscar winner on Tuesday, August 20. The date of separation was mentioned as April 26, 2024, and it was reported that Jennifer filed for divorce without an attorney.
In the spring, fans noticed that the couple hadn’t been seen together in over a month after the release of Jennifer’s film *This Is Me … Now* and her documentary *The Greatest Love Story Never Told*. Despite appearing together on multiple occasions and seemingly dispelling the split rumors, Jennifer declined to comment on her marriage during the premiere of *Atlas*. A reporter also questioned her on the status of her and Ben’s relationship in May.
The couple, affectionately known as “Bennifer,” had a famous love story in Hollywood. They appeared together in the 2004 film *Jersey Girl,* but called off their engagement and split at that time. However, more than 20 years later, they rekindled their romance in 2021.
