In Carmel, California, in 1997, Grier, an 18-year-old student at Wake Forest University, modified her wedding gown by making it more form-fitting and removing the poofiness to achieve a sleek and tight look. The 59-year-old star commented that Grier looked great in the gown and expressed her honor when people choose to wear her designs.
She also playfully remarked that if others don’t want to wear her designs, she will. Grier, who is a college freshman and IMG model, also attended the CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute event in a black Richard Tyler gown that the star wore in 2006 and appeared in one of her mom’s old gold dresses earlier that year.
