The Russos recently shared a photo hinting at a possible return for the popular series. It is not yet confirmed whether Selena Gomez will reprise her role as Alex Russo. David Henrie assured fans that he and the original cast are planning to come back for the new series.
The new series will revolve around Justin living a normal life away from the Wizard World, until a young wizard named Billie needs his help. The new storyline involves a mysterious incident at WizardTech, leading Justin to revisit his past and assist Billie with her training. This will feature a different version of the original show, and is set to be an exciting new adventure.
The original show ran from 2007 to 2012, and a TV movie sequel was released a year after. Jennifer revealed that Selena turned down an opportunity for an “Alex-Harper spinoff” due to her busy schedule.
