‘Twilight’ Animated TV Series: All We Know So Far

The first *Twilight* book was released in 2005 and spawned three sequels, with the series selling over 160 million copies worldwide. Despite almost 20 years since its release, the love for *Twilight* remains strong.

A *Twilight* Animated TV Series was announced to be in development in 2023 and was confirmed as an animated series by Lionsgate Television. Stephanie Meyer is an executive producer on the series, and Lionsgate TV will produce it.

The animated show has been ordered by Netflix, meaning the roles of Bella, Edward, Jacob, and more will most likely be played by new actors. There has been no casting news released as of yet.

The author of the *Twilight* series, Stephanie Meyer, has also revealed that she is working on two more *Twilight* novels. She stated, “There are two more books I think in the world that I want to write,” and mentioned having the first one outlined and a chapter written.

However, she has expressed a desire to work on something new, stating, “I am not ready to do that right now, I want to do something brand new. For me, a lot of the joy of writing comes from creating and I really want to do a new world and new rules and new mythology.”
