The late gun enthusiast and YouTube personality, 58-year-old Harrell, disclosed his battle with pancreatic cancer on July 16 and shared that the cancer had spread to his bones. He requested ongoing support for his channel and Patreon, denounced pirated content, and expressed a desire for followers to distance themselves from those who disparage him online.

Harrell had a vision to use his YouTube platform to educate viewers about firearms and the illness that ultimately claimed his life. He stressed the importance of providing valuable and intriguing information to his audience.

His brother was entrusted with carrying on his legacy by continuing to produce high-quality educational content. Pancreatic cancer originates in the pancreas, a crucial organ for digestion and blood sugar regulation.

Various factors contribute to the risk of developing this cancer, including smoking, chronic pancreatitis, family history, genetic mutations, diabetes, and obesity. Early symptoms of pancreatic cancer can go unnoticed, making early detection challenging, but signs may include jaundice, abdominal or back pain, unexpected weight loss, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting, and new-onset diabetes or worsening existing diabetes.

The diagnosis typically involves imaging tests, endoscopic ultrasounds, and biopsies, and treatment options depend on the cancer’s stage and location, as well as the patient’s overall health. Pancreatic cancer is known for its aggressive nature and difficult treatment, resulting in lower survival rates, especially in later stages.

Early detection and treatment play a vital role in improving outcomes.
