‘Happy Gilmore 2’: Sandler’s Sequel to 1996 Comedy

Adam Sandler was spotted on the set of “Happy Gilmore 2” in South Orange, New Jersey on September 9, 2024. The long-awaited sequel is scheduled for release on Netflix. The film will see the return of some familiar faces, with two original actors reprising their roles – Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit and Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin. The movie is set to feature appearances from other original cast members, although some, such as Bob Barker, Carl Weathers, and Joe Flaherty, have since passed away.

New additions to the cast include Bad Bunny, who is confirmed to have a role in the film. During a conversation with Jimmy Fallon, Adam Sandler revealed that Bad Bunny’s involvement was mentioned by Travis, and shared his admiration for the artist, describing him as a “very nice guy.” The original “Happy Gilmore” movie follows the story of a hot-tempered ice hockey player who discovers a talent for golf and enters a tournament to save his grandmother’s home. The sequel is expected to be filmed in various locations across New Jersey, with production set to take place from September to November.

While specific details about the release date and plot of “Happy Gilmore 2” are yet to be revealed, Adam Sandler’s recent social media post suggests that production of the film is already underway.
