In January 2018, June Shannon, Alana Thompson, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Shannon, Ella Grace Efird, and Joshua Brandon Efird attended the “Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta” season 2 premiere party at Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The pair have agreed to share joint legal and physical custody, with a parenting plan in place and have each waived the right to request child support.
Lauryn will be taking over the family’s shared home in Georgia, with Joshua given 60 days to remove his belongings from the property. Pumpkin and Josh got married in 2018 and welcomed their first child together six months later.
In 2022, Lauryn posted a heartfelt message expressing her gratitude towards Joshua for being the best father to their kids, including Alana. She also mentioned that she had prayed for someone to have a family with and love forever, and Joshua had fulfilled that wish.
Both Josh and Pumpkin have been open about the challenges in their relationship, including the impact of Pumpkin’s mother, Mama June Shannon. Mama June Shannon’s diagnosis and subsequent death at the age of 29 had a significant effect on the couple.
