As the “Gossip Girl” alum arrived at the event channeling her inner Britney, she shared on her Instagram stories that the “I’m a Slave 4 U” hitmaker inspired her to want to “sparkle.”
During the event, Lively expressed her admiration for Britney, stating, “The ultimate queen who made us all want to sparkle and write and share our stories.” She further elaborated on how Britney had influenced her and millennials in general, expressing gratitude for Britney’s example and contribution to women telling their stories.
She also expressed excitement about Britney’s biopic and future endeavors. In an interview, Lively discussed the significance of wearing a specific dress to her big night and reminisced about idolizing the pop icon in her younger days.
