FIU Stadium Named ‘Pitbull Stadium’ in Honor of Pitbull – Hollywood Life

In an announcement made at Tamiami Hall at Florida International University on August 6, 2024, Scott Carr, Pitbull, Kenneth Jessell, and Lucy Benedetti were seen posing for the FIU Pitbull Stadium announcement in Miami, Florida. Pitbull, a renowned artist, expressed how being a part of a culturally diverse city has inspired him in several ways. He highlighted the significance of the stadium, emphasizing that it is a meaningful endeavor done from the heart, and noted that he is from the local area.

As part of the partnership, FIU will receive $1.2 million annually from Pitbull. In addition, he will have the opportunity to perform at the stadium for ten free days per year, and tickets will be set aside for Panther students. Furthermore, Pitbull will also sell his own vodka brand at the stadium.

Athletic Director Scott Carr expressed his gratitude for the partnership, emphasizing that Pitbull’s financial support is program-changing for FIU athletics. He also highlighted the benefit of Pitbull amplifying FIU’s brand and values relationships and community.
