King Charles III shares rare personal update about cancer diagnosis.

King Charles III attended the King’s Parade outside Pomme d’Or Hotel, Liberation Square in St Helier, Jersey, during his two-day visit to the Channel Islands. The Jersey Sea Cadets provide maritime training and leadership experiences for children aged between 10 and 18 and is the largest sea cadet contingent in the British Isles.

The picture was taken on Monday, July 15, 2024. During his visit, the British monarch met with families affected by the tragic knife attack in Southport, which left three young children dead.

It was during this visit that he was asked about his ongoing cancer treatment. Buckingham Palace had announced the King’s diagnosis on February 5, a week after he was released from a London hospital following unrelated treatment for an enlarged prostate.

The specific type and stage of Charles’s cancer remain unclear, and while Palace officials have confirmed that he does not have prostate cancer, the exact details of his diagnosis and treatment regimen have not been disclosed. As a result of the diagnosis, the King began “regular treatments” and postponed public duties, as stated by the Palace.
