The cast of “Wizards of Waverly Place” including David DeLuise, Jennifer Stone, Selena Gomez, Jake T. Austin, and David Henrie visited the World of Disney on September 6, 2008 in New York City. Selena Gomez is confirmed to return as her former character, Alex Russo, in at least the first episode of the upcoming reboot of ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’. She expressed that the show holds significant meaning to her and that she will also be executive producing it, emphasizing the importance of the show in her career.
David Henrie, another cast member, mentioned that filming with Gomez again felt like they “didn’t miss a day” and teased that there are scenes which will be emotional for the original fans of the show. Gomez stated that it brings her to tears to honor the show in this way and expressed her excitement for people to see it.
