Once known for his controversial alter ego Slim Shady, Eminem now reflects on the importance of life and leaving that persona behind. In his song “Somebody Save Me,” he directly acknowledges his daughter Hailie, expressing regret for missing important moments and apologizing for prioritizing drugs over her.

In another song titled “Temporary,” Eminem speaks to Hailie about the concept of life after his passing. As Hailie grew older and became aware of this reality, she admitted feeling scared to think about it.
