Bobby Kennedy, known for his passion for studying animal skulls and bones, had rushed to the beach with a chainsaw upon hearing of a dead whale washing up on the shores of Massachusetts’ Squaw Island. He then drove the family five hours to Mount Kisco, N.Y., with the whale’s head fastened to the roof, leading to an unpleasant car ride for 6-year-old Kick due to the overflowing whale juice.
During a falconing trip in upstate New York, Robert Kennedy Jr. recounted coming across a cub that had been hit and killed by a car. He decided to pick up the bear with the intention of skinning it and putting the meat in his refrigerator.
However, due to a late dinner and a last-minute trip to the airport, he and his friends chose to dump the dead bear in the park to make it look like it had been hit by a bike, finding it amusing.
